Mayfield Renewables is an industry-leading consulting engineering firm specializing in distributed generation. Outfit has been the company’s go-to design studio for many years. So when founder Ryan Mayfield needed a campaign to capture the complexity of microgrids in electric visuals, he turned to us.

Outfit found its creative spark in the notion of building blocks. The team used these simple units to encapsulate the financial, electrical, and site-based constraints that can exert conflicting forces on microgrid projects. Our illustrator spun the idea into a series of storyboards, engaging closely with Mayfield to ensure the vision conjured the right magic. Final illustrations followed, with Ryan Mayfield cast as the protagonist throughout the campaign. The mesmerizing custom animation won positive responses across the industry.

By combining technical precision, nimble design and intriguing narratives, the partnership created a library of enlightening, reusable assets. These resources helped position Mayfield as a leader in microgrid design and development, enabling the company to communicate consistently across projects, events and client engagements.
